Deirdre Hade is the Spiritual Teacher, Master Healer, Mystic and Visionary Leader in the ancient arts of the wisdom traditions for our times, as well as the founder of Radiance Healing and Radiance Meditation™. After her mother was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer when Deirdre was just 15, Deirdre, with her mother, began developing a method of energy work to assist her mother. At this time, she was given an original first copy of "A Course in Miracles" and began studying the text in earnest. Her mother lived 14 years longer than was thought possible.
At the loss of her mother, when Deirdre was in her twenties, she poured herself into spiritual study. Twenty years later she received her awakening while in deep meditation on the energies of Kabbalah. She received "Radiance" and is dedicated to sharing the concept of "Radiance" with the world.
Deirdre is the leader in the "Great American Awakening" movement, and teaches enlightenment. She has studied Chasidic thought and Kabbalah for over ten years with Rabbi Mordecai Finley, Rabbi of Ohr ha Torah Synagogue in Los Angeles, CA, where she is a member. She has also studied and practiced Cranial Sacral Healing with John Walsh and Judith Johnston. Her mentor in the field of personal psychology is Dr. LaWanda Staenberg of Beverly Hills, CA. Deirdre practiced Vedic healing and energy light work for fifteen years as a disciple of an Indian Master. She was initiated into an ancient mystical order in Varanase, India, where she received her Hindu name Dahya Yogini (Merciful Heart).
Deirdre began as the spiritual choreographer for ballet and modern dance. She was the founder of the Celebrations Dance Theater in Memphis, TN, choreographing and dancing in performance works to sacred music. She was also the director and choreographer for the Memphis Ballet Company, the Southern Opera Theatre and Opera Memphis. She choreographed and danced for the Banff Center for the Performing Arts in Banff, Canada, was a scholarship recipient with the Robert Joffery Ballet School in NYC, and danced with NYC Opera. Deirdre also choreographed and danced in Stephen Halpern's first music video, Summer Wind.
Deirdre is a member of the Transformational Leadership Council, a worldwide organization of thought leaders in personal and organizational transformation. She has led journeys and taught for the council and is an active member in bringing about transformation into the world.
She was honored by the Circles of Light as a F.L.O.W.E.R.S. (The Formidable Love Of Women Elegantly Revealing Sisterhood). Past recipients include Dr. Dorothy Height, who also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal; Claudette C'Faison, founder of Youth At-Risk, Inc.; Bettie Spruill, Co-Founder of Vistar Integrated Programs and Yess!; and Iyanla Vanzant, Founder and Director of Inner Visions Institute of Spiritual Development.
Deirdre founded the Foundation for Radiance, dedicated to bringing a healthy, serene and peaceful life to children and adults who have experienced trauma or injury. She is the co-founder of My Angel Pillow™ and the founder of the Adopt a Wing™ program bringing Angel Pillows™ to children in hospitals.
Deirdre is featured as a love luminary in the upcoming book "Love For No Reason," the sequel to "Happy For No Reason," which sold 20 million copies, authored by Marci Shimoff (with Carol Kline) and was released on January 11, 2011.
Deirdre was asked to lead the opening blessing for New Orleans in the Give Back Day, featuring the teachers from the movie, "The Secret."
She is the founder of the Sir Edward and Lady Annalee Porter Center for Radiance in Miami Beach, FL, a center dedicated to bringing together world leaders in political visionary thought, spiritual, environmental and entrepreneural, to dialogue and create new solutions to heal our world by incorporating peaceful strategy, implementing visionary ideas and leading concepts to heal and transform our world. This center is also dedicated to promoting the teaching and healing retreats of Radiance with many renowned spiritual leaders.
She was honored as being a guest speaker with the Accademi of Life, founded by Shirley Moulton in New York City. Other recipients have been Elizabeth Gilbert (Eat, Pray, Love) and Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor (My Stroke of Insight).
Deirdre also leads seminars around the country. Past events have included Super Seminar III in Los Angeles, CA, The Caring Center, Memphis, TN, the Circles of Light, Detroit, MI, the Chopra Center at La Costa, and Donna Karan's Urban Zen Center in New York City.
